Triumphant Over Temptation

Through Christ’s victory on the cross, satan the liar is both dethroned and dismantled. However, everyone on earth is still going through battles with temptation, and we must endure and overcome.

Many temptations exist in the world, but there are also many allies that help temptation increase its grip on people’s lives. Below, I detail some of temptation’s allies and how you can grow to become triumphant over temptation.

Triumphant Over Temptation

1. Victimhood - How are you ever going to get victory over your temptation if you can excuse it by being a victim? We are supposed to be victorious in Christ Jesus; that is what He has called us to be.
2. Minimizing Sin - If you think your sin is not too bad, you will always fall into it.
3. Lack of Repentance - If you are not ready to be broken before the Lord and cry out for mercy over your sin, you will never ruie above it.
4. No Excuse For Temptation - The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation (2 Peter 2:9).
5. Temptation Trains You For War - Some temptations should be viewed as an opportunity to learn warfare and understand the power of God (Judges 3:1-4). Even when you are born again, there will still be things in your soul that you have to conquer (Ephesians 6:12).

There is a big difference between knowing the scripture and living it. If you don't know the truth and walk in its reality, you are living at entry-level Christianity, and the enemy is going to take advantage of your ignorance. Sin's control over us ended at the cross of Christ.
