Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer
At Echo City, our desire is that every believer doesn’t just attend church — but actually hears from God daily through His Word. When we open the Bible, we begin to see God’s heart, His character, and how He responds to the real situations we face.
Daily devotions help renew our minds, reshape our thinking, and transform us from the inside out so we can become more like Jesus.
One of the simplest and most powerful tools we use is S.O.A.P. journaling. It helps you slow down, hear what God is saying, write it down, and actually apply it to your everyday life. It also becomes a written record of the “gems” God gives you — things you don’t want to forget.
If we don’t write these moments down, it’s easy to lose sight of the blessings and revelations God is giving us. And while journaling is personal, it can also be something you share with your spouse, your group, or your community. Having it written out lets you revisit what God said, dig deeper, and even encourage someone else with what the Holy Spirit is showing you.
All you need to start is your Bible, a pen, and a journal.
Let God speak — and let your heart respond.
