Live Above the Noise
In this powerful message, we're invited to examine the relationship between worry and trust, discovering that worry isn't really about what we lack but about where we place our faith. Drawing from Luke 12, we encounter Jesus addressing a crowd concerned about possessions and inheritance, only to redirect their attention to something far more valuable: seeking the Kingdom of God above everything else. The sermon challenges us to recognize how comparison manufactures a life we were never called to live, how social media and consumer culture amplify our fear of missing out, and how we often measure our lives against impossible standards. The transformative insight comes through understanding the difference between a gap mindset and a gain mindset. Instead of constantly measuring ourselves against an ideal we haven't reached, we're called to recognize how far we've come from where we started. This shift in perspective reveals that every step forward in our faith journey matters to God, even when we feel we're falling short. The message reminds us that possessions will be left behind, but our relationship with God and the people we bring with us are eternal. When we seek first the Kingdom of God, we discover contentment in His provision and freedom from the noise that worry creates in our lives.
